  • We charge £50 per hour + expenses such as couriers.  

    As an indicator, to scan a standard sized archive box full of office files takes between 1.5 - 3 hours.  Loose photos in good condition - between 200 - 400 per hour.   

    Bound books and photo albums take longer and are quoted on a case by  case basis.

  • The quality or resolution of the copies are measured as dots per inch or DPI.  The higher the DPI the better the quality.  We normally recommend 240 DPI for office files and can supply up to 1200 DPI.

  • The length of time taken varies according to the quality of the materials e.g. if there are staples to be removed or blu tack on the back of photos etc.  As an indicator, to scan a standard sized archive box full of office files takes between 1.5 - 3 hours.  Loose photos in good condition - between 200 - 400 per hour.   Bound books take longer if they are to be preserved as we need to scan each page individually.

  • All the typed up documents that we scan undergo a process called Optimal Character Recognition (OCR) which means that you can search for key words or phrases within a document.  

    This feature is not possible for hand written documents.

  • We can supply the digital files back to you in a number of ways.  We can send them back to you on a USB stick, via an online sharing platform such as Dropbox or in a real life album.

  • confidentiality agreement and all digital materials are password protected or shared via GDPR compliant platforms such as Dropbox.

  • Yes, for a small extra cost, we can destroy the materials for you confidentially and environmentally.

  • Yes, we can return all the materials to you in their original condition if required.
